Serve with a missionary family working among the Soninke people, helping in local agricultural and erosion-prevention projects. Work with the community to train young men in welding and fabrication. Learn from experienced cross-cultural development workers, demonstrating an incarnational lifestyle amongst a muslim people group.

The Gambia in West Africa is surrounded by Senegal and the Atlantic Ocean. Its area is 10,689 sq kilometres with a population of nearly 1,900,000. The Gambia River flows through the centre of the country and into the Atlantic Ocean. Banjul is the Gambian capital, and the largest cities are Serekunda and Brikama.

WEC international in the Gambia is registered with the government as an NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) since 1966. We have established different social programmes in order to contribute to the development efforts of the government and other stakeholders. We have projects in agriculture, medical work, education and youth, and literacy.
