• Holistic ministry, by reaching out to the heart, soul, mind and body of persons;
• Showing integrity and accountability to team members and Cambodian authorities through an NGO and a missional business framework;
• Equipping and empowering Cambodians for leadership and ownership of the vision;
• Equipping workers to be effective members of WEC in the Cambodian context;

• Support Christian entrepreneurs to incubate new businesses;
• Inspire the businesses to train interns and apprentices (trade/professional and life/soft skills) at their workplace.

Since 2007, five workshops or businesses were incubated by WEC in partnership with Khmer entrepreneurs. In May 2013, the training programme was evaluated externally.

WEC Cambodia's Current Ministries

Bridge of Hope is a weekly outreach in Siem Reap working with children and their families and communities. An informal school was established for 80 children ages 7–17. They come from our communities around the centre located in Banteay Chas; some have never attended school. Students in the first and second grades study full-time at the school while the third to the sixth grades have been integrated into state school. They receive tuition from our trained teachers and attend English classes. All students have access to Bible stories and basic life skills, preventive teaching, counselling and primary healthcare, which are also taught by Cambodian teachers.

Social workers visit and counsel the children’s caregivers.
Parenting meetings are organised monthly to teach them about health care, nutrition, child protection, and parenting. There are money-saving groups organised amongst themselves to improve their economy and future sustainability for their family.

Light of Life in Christ Church is a community of faith started from visitations to the parents by the social workers. Some parents experience the reality of Christ, and they decided to turn away from their previous beliefs and become followers of Christ. The group of believers meet every Sunday afternoon to sing, pray and encourage one another. Scriptures come alive to them when we use a story telling method. They are able to understand, remember the Scriptures and re-tell these truths to their relatives and neighbours.

Good Neighbours is a vision is to plant a biblically-sound indigenous church in the countryside where the community is developed to be self-sustaining, and its local church leaders are spiritually mature to disciple other Christians and plant daughter churches. Currently, a group of 10–15 adults and about 40–50 children gather at the community centre every Sunday for worship service. A pre-school class was established in partnership with a local primary school in Tria Leu village. In addition, youths meet weekly for drawing and painting class, English classes and guitar lessons.

Vocational Training provides a combination of theoretical and reality training (apprenticeship) gives the trainer and trainees the awareness of the requirements of customers and the marketplace, giving our graduates the cutting edge in securing better job prospects upon their graduation.
