As we reflect on the past year, we look back on a long and arduous journey – the sale of our old headquarters and relocation to regional bases and new hq. It has, at times, been extremely challenging, but phase 1 of the journey is now complete, we know the hard work has been worth it, and we are thankful to God for His faithfulness to us.
We are excited that WEC is now reorganised so as to have a presence in several urban areas of the UK. The UK has changed since we moved into Bulstrode, 50 years ago. With ever-increasing ethnic and cultural diversity, the nations are truly on our doorstep, so now is the right time to reorganise ourselves in a way that enables us to reach unreached people groups all over the country. In simple terms, our workers are now surrounded by the people we seek to reach. The completion of the sale of Bulstrode represents a deeply strategic and significant moment in the history of WEC International. We now look forward to the unfolding of a new season in our work.
It’s so rewarding to read reports from our workers all over the world of lives changed and of highly innovative projects to share the good news.
The past year has also included some real ministry highlights. It’s so rewarding to read reports from our workers all over the world of lives changed and of highly innovative projects to share the good news. For example, who but our team in Ghana would have thought of evangelism through a computer school? We hope you enjoy reading these reports as much as we did.
The future is bright for WEC International. Of course there are challenges – there always are in mission. But there are also exciting opportunities; opportunities which few of us would even have imagined ten years ago. Our aim remains the same as ever: ‘To see Christ known, loved and worshipped amongst the unreached peoples of the world’. Only our structure and processes have changed, in order to make us more effective in achieving this aim. With our workers’ creativity and courage, and with the blessing and favour of God, we believe WEC’s ministry will continue to go from strength to strength.
Thank you so much for your support.
