Community Discipler & Counsellor in Germany

Get involved in developing and setting up a Christian community centre for discipleship training and biblical counselling. Ephata is a pioneer community project beginning in Bremen area of North Germany, focusing on discipleship and counselling.

The vision of Ephata is to develop Christian living communities seeking to win people to Christ, to disciple and deepen the faith of believers, and to foster a cross-cultural, missional lifestyle.

Join the pioneer team doing a variety of tasks such as: counselling sessions, leading Bible studies, intercession, organizing outreaches, planning mission trips, administration, and serving practically within the community.

The whole community will live together in a big communal home, sharing our lives as much as is practical, but with times and places for privacy, retreat, and leisure, with a sensible work-life balance. In the short term we will need those with practical skills in building renovation.

Join us long term to engage with young Christians who want to grow in their faith.

Qualities & Gifts Sought

You have a heart and passion for discipleship and counselling and love to serve others through practical ministry and prayer. You are a flexible, hospitable people-person. You demonstrate initiative, and are eager and excited to help a new ministry to develop.

You are a mature Christian with biblical knowledge and ability to teach others, willing to take responsibility within the community.

You already speak some German, or are willing to study. Technical or practical abilities might be useful, but not required.
