Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer in Central Asia

Help transform a community with renewable energy sources. Apply appropriate technology to obtain energy from vast renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, water, and bio-matter.

Project involves research, training, production and distribution of renewable energy sources and products; also setting up water-powered generator systems for villages.

Supervise 4-6 national workers and train others, oversee electric power production, develop new electrical components and plan parts of small scale power plants.

Qualities & Gifts Sought

Experienced with electric engines, alternators and transformers, and some knowledge of electronics. Able to teach clearly, using simple resources and tools. You enjoy the challenge of a low-tech workshop, and working in an multi-cultural team.

WEC is involved in serving communities throughout Central Asia. We are working in a variety of roles, alongside other Christian agencies, and with the local church where it exists.

Our desire is to see the peoples of this region come to faith in Jesus, gathered into communities of believers, and discipled so that they can disciple others.

WEC’s diverse ministry in Central Asia includes missional business, education, English teaching, medical care and development work.
