Every year thousands of new migrants in the Rotterdam region become our new neighbours. Some of these cultures have not or hardly been reached with the gospel. WEC and its mission partners have formed Reaching Rotterdam to share God's love and passion to these people and cultures.

Through our role in Reaching Rotterdam WEC are supporting Dutch churches, local Christian initiatives and international mission organizations by sharing our vision, by working together and by mobilizing prayer and workers for this ministry.

Be a strategic networker forming a hub of our connections with mission partners. You will enable us to maintain contact between these organizations and our employees and ensure good coordination between all parties involved. As a mobiliser, you will help people with a passion for our target group to find the right place in Rotterdam.

You support our new workers in finding the right workplace and starting work at our partner organizations in Rotterdam. You will help to equip and coach our partners and workers, and also organize regular prayer events with our church volunteers and mission partners.

If you have a passion for those from other cultures living in or settling in Rotterdam, then you can be used here.

You are an excellent networker and mobiliser, an inspirational team leader, with insight into how to bring together different groups with different gifts for a common cause.

You enjoy coaching younger inexperienced volunteers who are eager to learn how to love and reach those from other cultures. You are also aware of the power and importance of prayer.

About Netherlands

The Netherlands is a country in Western Europe with a population of 17 million.

The European portion of the Netherlands consists of twelve provinces and borders Germany to the east, Belgium to the south, and the North Sea to the northwest, sharing maritime borders in the North Sea with Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Germany.  

The five largest cities in the Netherlands are Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven. Amsterdam is the country's capital, while The Hague holds the seat of the States General and cabinet. The Port of Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe and the world's largest outside East Asia.

Netherlands literally means lower countries, influenced by its low land and flat geography, with only about 50% of its land exceeding one metre above sea level.

With a population density of 414 people per km2 –– the Netherlands is classified as a very densely populated country. Only Bangladesh, South Korea, and Taiwan have both a larger population and higher population density.

Nevertheless, the Netherlands is the world's second-largest exporter of food and agricultural products, after the United States. This is partly due to the fertility of the soil and the mild climate as well as its highly developed intensive agriculture.

WEC Netherlands 

In cooperation with local churches, WEC Netherlands wants to equip and send workers among the unreached, to  make followers of Jesus, and to plant missional churches.

WEC runs a cross-cultural training college in Beugen called Cornerstone where students from many countries come to study and prepare for missionary service.

WECers are also reaching out to immigrant communities within the Netherlands, in cities like Rotterdam.
