“People don't buy what you do; they buy why you do it.” Simon Sinek
So, why do WEC do what we do? Why do we seek to see Christ known, loved and worshipped amongst the unreached peoples of the world? John Bagg shares his third and final compelling reason.
Reason #3: Prophetic urgency
“…this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Mt 24:14
When is Jesus returning? What should we be doing to prepare for that? Our determined endeavour is to take the gospel to all the nations of the world, as urgently and as quickly as possible! Why? Because we believe that there is a clear connection between the mission of God and the return of Christ. How can the Saviour return a second time until all the nations have heard that He came the first time?
We believe that our longing for the return of Christ should be matched with our earnest endeavour to do the things that the Lord has told us must happen before He returns. Otherwise, there is a disconnect between our desires and our actions.
Do you long to see the Lord return? Then turn this desire into action by engaging ‘now’ in the activities that hasten His return. If you want to explore this further, or join us in response to God’s leading then please get in touch.
