About Specialist training
WEC's commitment is to journey with you, on the road to the fulfilment of your calling, to reach those who know nothing of our Father’s love. Equipping those He calls is part of that commitment. Laying good foundations is the beginning. We are committed to life-long learning and training.
We provide ongoing training in a number of areas such as:
Member Care: helping you to stay healthy, resilient and effective in the demanding situations of life and ministry.
Intentionality in Church Planting: Through the presentation of concepts, case studies and an open forum, participants in this training have the opportunity to evaluate and define the best strategies in their church planting ministry.
Leadership Training: as well as training courses we also offer coaching and mentoring for those in leadership positions in WEC.
Peacemaking and Mediation Training: Scripture teaches that it is absolutely essential to our witness and our fellowship that we live in reconciled relationships. Conflicts in relationships are a part of life but as an organization we are committed to living and working together in humility and harmony.
Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills: provided in partnership with other organisations.
Missionary Training Colleges: WEC understands the importance of proper training and preparation for cross-cultural mission. Hence, we have five cross-cultural training centres on three continents, whose aim is to put appropriate tools in your hands and teach you to use them. Chad is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest and Niger to the west. It is the fifth largest country in Africa in terms of area.
Chad has several regions: a desert zone in the north, an arid Sahelian belt in the centre and a more fertile Sudanian Savanna zone in the south. Lake Chad, after which the country is named, is the largest wetland in Chad and the second-largest in Africa. The capital N'Djamena is the largest city.
The United Nations' Human Development Index ranks Chad as the seventh poorest country in the world, with 80% of the population living below the poverty line.
At 33%, Chad has one of the lowest literacy rates of Sub-Saharan Africa. Chad's official languages are Arabic and French.

WEC in Chad
In Chad there is an open door to serve Christ. WEC has many opportunities to serve people in Jesus' name, through urban outreach, teaching English, working with students, helping the poor, using the media and much more. We work with several unreached peoples including nomads.
There are so many unreached peoples here and, for the moment, a great freedom to work. The team are starting churches where there are none among the peoples of Chad. The time is now!
In 2012, WEC oversaw the translation and printing of the first New Testament in the Chadian dialect of Arabic, continuing WEC’s commitment to translate the scriptures into the languages of unreached people groups. Please pray with us that this NT will be widely read and used.
