Pioneer Mission Mobiliser for East & Central Europe

Do you have a passion for mobilising Europeans for cross-cultural mission? Could you help WEC to recruit across Central and Eastern Europe, sharing with churches our vision for hundreds of missionaries to be sent around the world from these countries?

Encourage and facilitate the evangelical churches in Eastern and Central Europe to send new workers from their congregations to reach the unreached.

Join WEC to develop a strategy to accomplish that aim, together with a mature couple and Europe leadership. Attend key mission events (virtually or in person) across Eastern and Central Europe to further that aim.

Consider how WEC might best serve the church in their own mission vision and activities. Network with like-minded mission agencies to learn where and how they work in Eastern and Central Europe; and explore possibilities for inter-agency cooperation.

Research cross-cultural mission training programmes provided by Bible colleges in Europe, looking at possible collaboration and teaching exchange opportunities with WEC's Cornerstone College and our Europe Training Coordinator.

Partner with our Mobilisation team based in Romania to help them recruit, orientate and send more WEC people from across Eastern Europe. Keep informed of new applications from Eastern and Central Europe.

Encourage WEC branches to connect with Christians in their own countries originating from Eastern and Central Europe.

About Southeast Europe

Southeast Europe offers unique opportunities and challenges for mission.

Orthodox Christianity is in decline in this region and the arrival of people from different nations is providing a new context to reach the unreached. WEC aims to respond to these opportunities and challenges, and to mobilise East Europeans to reach the unreached on their own doorstep, as well as to go to new cultures and join our teams around the world.

WEC is currently ministering in Albania, Greece, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and elsewhere in the Balkans. Each team has been involved in outreach and church planting, as well as in community projects and reconciliation, for several years. We have also been recruiting in Eastern Europe especially Poland, Ukraine, Romania, etc.

One team is running a free medical service and children's programmes as well as looking for more ways to reach their community. Another team has a ministry centre and is exploring their options in reaching out to more parts of the neighbouring community. Another small team has an established reconciliation ministry, and there are opportunities among refugees in partnership with established churches.

WEC is prayerfully planning and anticipating reaching out to more new locations. This includes church planting and discipling in more districts in cities and towns not yet reached.

Contact us to explore and pray how you might fit in.
