Spanish-speaking School Teacher in Central Asia
Our team vision is to plant biblically sound, Christ-centered, self-governing, and multiplying churches across one capital city of Central Asia which will network together, multiply, and mobilize well-discipled believers to reach even the remote unreached areas of this Muslim country with the gospel.
Our team comprises three Spanish-speaking families who together have three children between 8 and 12 years old.
Come and invest in these children, teaching and looking after them when their parents are ministering, but you will have opportunities to explore and visit other cities.
Qualities & Gifts Sought
You are good with children. Ideally a fluent Spanish speaker, who is also comfortable in English too. Teaching experience is preferred.
You will get an opportunity to learn the national language to get around. Accommodation may be in a flat on your own or share with another worker.

It is an occupational requirement of any role with WEC International to have a committed evangelical Christian faith, because sharing your faith will be part of that role.
About Recruiting Latinos
Within the Americas, WEC’s emphasis is on mobilizing and recruiting new workers, and on church planting amongst indigenous peoples. We operate in three major languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese) and among 15 different ethnic groups, mostly in Brazil and Mexico.
God is on the move in Latin America. The turning of many to Christ in the last couple of generations is now reaping a harvest of workers for the nations. Their hearts are ignited with passion that is expressed outwardly.
Latinos are deeply devoted to the purity of the Truth of the Word. They take it at face value and teach it in that way. They have witnessed God’s power and miracles and are not afraid to expect Him to continue to work in that way.
But many challenges lie on the road for Latino Christians from the Americas who want to serve the Lord in other countries. Their churches are not as affluent as English-speaking ones, and they struggle to support a missionary.
WEC are seeing a growing number of Latinos join us in taking the Good News of Jesus to the ends of the earth! And what a richness they bring to our teams!

About Central Asia
WEC is involved in serving communities throughout Central Asia.
We are working in a variety of roles, alongside other Christian agencies, and with the local church where it exists. Our desire is to see the peoples of this region come to faith in Jesus, gathered into communities of believers, and discipled so that they can disciple others.
WEC’s diverse ministry in Central Asia includes missional business, education, English teaching, medical care and development work.
We cannot give details online about the countries, situations and opportunities we have found where you can serve in Central Asia, but we will be able to tell you more when you meet us face to face.
