TEFL Teacher in East Asia
There are opportunities through our NGO in the capital to teach English language to children of all ages, and also help local English teachers to improve their English fluency and literacy.
This opportunity will open doors for you to visit local and nomadic families connected with this and other development projects, and to share Jesus with them.
Teaching English is also a long-term visa opportunity in this former communist country.
Qualities & Gifts Sought
You will need at least a TEFL or English teaching qualification, and heart for children.
For a 1-3 month visit for a single person, accommodation will be in a guest house. For a longer commitment or a family, an apartment can be rented.

It is an occupational requirement of any role with WEC International to have a committed evangelical Christian faith, because sharing your faith will be part of that role.
About Teaching English
Fluency in English provides students with a vital skill. By teaching English as a foreign language you can take opportunities to build relationships with students, which may open doors to share the gospel.
Use your TEFL or TESOL training on a short-term mission experience with WEC. Have an opportunity to travel and experience a new culture. Every year there are opportunities in Brazil and Korea to teach our trainee missionaries.

The whole of Asia has developed rapidly over the last two decades, with huge political and economic development, along with rapid church growth.
All kinds of opportunities are opening up as ASEAN develops and Asia continues to change. God is clearly at work and WEC seeks to be in step with him, seeing the nations of East Asia reflecting God’s glory, his kingdom impacting each nation, and disciples of Jesus making more disciples.
WEC’s diverse ministry in East Asia includes missional business, education, English teaching, medical care and development work.
