Football Coach in the Gambia
Come and join WEC in Brikama to coach the football club at our Eagles youth centre. They train for three hours every weekday afternoon, giving us a platform to also reach out to their families. Also help to organise tournaments and special coaching events.
WEC are involved in various youth ministries, in close partnership with the Evangelical Church of the Gambia which WEC helped to establish. Our NGO's vocational skills centre in Brikama provides apprenticeships for early school leavers.
Come and inspire these mostly Mandinka young people to not only enjoy a great game and stay fit, but also to hear about Jesus and how much he loves them.
Qualities & Gifts Sought
You are a confident coach with substantial football experience, perhaps in a school or local club. You have a passion for young people and for evangelism.
ou enjoy mentoring young people to have confidence and to play fairly. You are a good moral role model, and enjoy bringing conversation around to Jesus.
You are willing to share accommodation with other workers or in a compound.
