German Language Teacher in the Middle East
Come to the Middle East and teach formal Deutsch als Fremdsprache classes to adult learners at a small privately-run German language institute.
This will give you great opportunities to provide German conversation classes too, totalling 6-8 hours per week with 10-12 hours preparation time.
This is a great opportunity to develop relationships with a fascinating Muslim people group, discover their unique local culture and local language.
Serve and learn alongside those from other countries who have worked here long-term, praying and gaining insights into planting indigenous churches here in the Middle East.
Qualities & Gifts Sought
You are a mother-tongue German speaker with some fluency in English. Arabic language or teaching qualifications are not required.
You love people and enjoy building trust with those who don't yet know Jesus. You are comfortable in a classroom, but you also have a sense of adventure.
You are a mature Christian who can cope calmly with sudden changes to schedules or circumstances. You enjoy and work well in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic team. You are an eager learner, and enjoy teaching a subject you love.

About Middle East
WEC serves communities across the Middle East, and has had teams working in some countries for decades.
WEC teams are involved in a variety of ministries, using tent-making, medical work, missional business to do effective and culturally appropriate outreach leading to church planting. We also serve alongside other Christian agencies, and with the local church where it exists.
Our desire is to see all the peoples of this region come to faith in Jesus, gathered into indigenous communities of believers, serving and joining the work of sharing the good news.
We cannot give details online about the countries, situations and opportunities we have found where you can serve in the Middle East region, but we will be able to tell you more when you meet us face to face.
