A relaxing weekend with a difference in Arbroath Scotland
Be blessed by warm fellowship, challenged by needs and stirred to pray because of the amazing things God is doing around the world. Families and children welcome!
Arbroath is an ideal location for a weekend away, providing opportunities for refreshing seaside walks along the promenade and cliffs, as well as a charming town centre to explore. The cliffs, beach, shops and leisure facilities are all within walking distance. We look forward to your company, for what we trust will be a very enjoyable and profitable weekend together.
The programme will include Bible teaching and mission focused prayer, as well as a children's programme, crèche and a free time to relax.
- Be refreshed by relevant Bible teaching.
- Expand your horizons through interaction with missionaries and be inspired by their stories.
- Explore the picturesque fishing port and nearby coast.
- Join with others in prayer and expect to hear from God.
- Take time to relax and enjoy good fellowship.
The Bible teaching will be given by Stuart Smith, who is the Minister of Gairloch and Dundonnell Church of Scotland. Stuart has been in parish ministry in Glasgow and Gairloch for over 20 years, and also works regularly with Luwero Community Ministries in Uganda. He is married to Elspeth and has two student children. He has a growing interest in sailing and bagpiping, and a long standing commitment to providing the referee with good advice at Glasgow Warriors rugby matches.
Our mission speaker this year is John King, who heads up the Neighbours Worldwide team in Walsall with Audrey his wife. They have two children, Lydia who is currently on a Teacher Training course, and and Nathan, studying for GCSE exams. John will share about what is being done to reach out to the ethnic minorities through the Neighbours Worldwide team.
