Get a taste of cross-cultural mission
Are you wondering how you could get more involved in mission? Then come and join us for Mission & Me: a weekend of exploration in a relaxed and informal environment.
A Mission & Me weekend will give you a taste of cross-cultural
mission. You will gain a broader understanding of what mission means, what God
is doing in the world and how you can become a part of his global plan.
discussions, prayer and conversations with experienced missionaries, Mission &
Me will help you explore your own calling to mission and what options might be
open to you.
What's in the programme?
You will have opportunities to ask questions, pray for other nations and find out more about what the Bible has to say about mission.
There’s also plenty of time to reflect and chat to other participants, as well as an evening given over to a fun and immersive experience of a different culture.
Arbroath is an ideal location for a weekend away, providing opportunities for refreshing seaside walks along the promenade and cliffs, as well as a charming town centre to explore. The cliffs, beach, shops and leisure facilities are all within walking distance.
The Mission & Me weekend will run concurrently with the Arbroath Prayer Weekend.
You will share joint Bible teaching sessions by Stuart Smith, who has been in the Church of Scotland ministry for 20 years, has run Scripture Union summer camps for many years, and has regular input into the Lowero ministry in Uganda.
You will hear from missionary John King, who heads up Neighbours Worldwide, WEC’s outreach to ethnic minorities in Walsall.
Derek and Heidi Malcolm served the Lord in West Asia for 16 years and will host your weekend. They will give insight into what life is like serving in a cross-cultural situation.
What does it cost?
Mission & Me is £40 per person for full board. Family rates are available on request.
