Yes, as much as possible! During orientation we teach you to make the most of language learning opportunities. You may already speak a national language, but might like to start to learn a local or tribal language. You will be unlikely to go to language school (as courses are usually one-two years minimum) but it is certainly a good idea to learn some basic phrases in the local language.
