For Andy and Jackie, Radio Worldwide’s radio:ACTIVE course was the start of an unexpected adventure.

Despite having no previous training in radio, Andy and Jackie jumped into radio:ACTIVE (RW's foundation radio course) with both feet. Following the course, armed with skills in interviewing, script writing and radio production, they went on to set up and run a christian radio station in northern Mozambique. The broadcasts engage listeners in places where there are few or no Christians.

Seven years after their initial training, Andy and Jackie have moved on from Mozambique and their radio ministry has come on in leaps and bounds. Andy and Jackie take up the story:

‘We are developing a new service of digital media for WEC in Africa. For this reason, we are collecting audio and audiovisual media in the vernacular languages of Africa. Most of the digital media was given to us by other media producers who we contacted and are now in the process of building relationships with. Just a few of them work for WEC. The majority work for other missions or organisations, but we have a common goal in our desire to glorify Jesus and the truth about him in the continent of Africa!’

For Andy and Jackie, radio:ACTIVE was a launch pad to an exciting and vibrant ministry, reaching thousands of people. Could a foundation radio course be the start of a new adventure for you? If so get in touch.
